We're looking for a passionate and dedicated Payroll Specialist to join the ASDAM team. As a Payroll Specialist with ASDAM, you will be required to process fortnightly and monthly payrolls across the Group, delivering a high quality, accurate and timely service to our people. Key Responsibilities:

In your role as Payroll Specialist, you will take ownership of the following tasks and responsibilities.

  • Process end-to-end payrolls (weekly, monthly, out-of-cycle) using MicrOpay & ADP Payforce within your two assigned portfolios.

  • Take ownership for updating employee master files. 

  • Process the pay runs including any additional payroll components such as workers compensation payments, STI’s, paid parental leave payments, child support, salary packaging, rate or salary increases etc.

  • Collaborate with HR to onboard new employees through our group HRIS, ELMO, managing documentation and support reporting requests. 

  • Finalise pay run reporting and payments, ensuring deadlines are always achieved.

  • Complete payroll end of financial year requirements including reconciliations, reporting and software updates, ensuring compliance and deadlines are achieved.

  • Support annual WGEA reporting.

  • Ensure accurate month-end reporting, reconciliations, and payroll adjustments.

  • Handle complex pay components including enterprise agreement allowances, leave entitlements, workers compensation and terminations.

  • Act as a first point of contact for all payroll-related queries.

  • Provide backup payroll support to other team members within the Group, including learning additional payroll portfolios to ensure coverage during periods of leave and absence.

  • Support payroll audits and continuous process improvement initiatives.

  • Work with the finance team for monthly and end of year reporting, and audits. 

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successfully in this role, you will bring with you the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Proven end-to-end payroll experience in a complex, matrixed environment

  • Experience ideally payroll software SAGE MicroPay and/or ADP Payroll systems.

  • Intermediate Excel and base-level understanding of ERP systems and how they interplay with payroll.

  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, and award and enterprise agreement interpretation.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, collaborative approach.

  • High level of confidentiality, accuracy, and organisational skill.
