Actively maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory and company health, safety and environment related policies and procedures across all ASDAM USA sites. The role reports directly to the Australian based HSE Director with an indirect reporting line to the Heads of PT6 and TPE331 in Adelaide, AUS.
Job Description
Undertaking health, safety and environment activities across multiple US ASDAM locations
Ensuring compliance to legal obligations, relevant industry standards and company health, safety and environment policies, procedures and systems.
Actively contributing to the development, deployment and monitoring of annual HSE plans and objectives that align with the corporate annual HSE plan.
Regular engagement, including site visits to support local management in ensuring health, safety and environment obligations are identified and compliance achieved.
Conducting risk management activities including periodic site-based inspections
Actively contributing to continually improve the organizational safety culture
Ensuring all incidents are recorded, timely investigations completed and are closed out in accordance with organizational performance objectives.
Actively contributing to the local HSE committee(s) and being an integral part of the global HSE Team
Responsible for ensuring site emergency response plans are developed, deployed, and regularly practiced
Actively report and record observations, hazards and near misses on the global incident reporting tool
Manage the hazardous chemical manifest, including the risk assessment of new chemicals introduced.
Coordinate activities with local emergency departments and other government/civic functions on inspection of facilities.
Desired Skills and Experience
ESSENTIAL:
Minimum of a Certificate in Safety & Health Fundamentals for General Industry or similar qualification.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in the application of health, safety and environment systems in an industrial or maintenance, multi-site capacity.
Competent in risk management and maintaining risk controls.
Ability to work autonomously and as a team member as required.
Technical knowledge of health, safety, and environment disciplines.
DESIRABLE:
Experienced in incident investigation.
Experienced in the delivery of health, safety and environment training and presentations.
Demonstrated current knowledge of relevant US Federal and State health, safety and environment legislation.
