An exciting opportunity has presented itself as TAE Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated Apprentice to join the PT6 Team. This position will be based at the Adelaide Airport TAE Aerospace facility and will work with closely with an experienced team Technician’s, being guided and supported by a Team Leader and Engine Shop Manager.

- Interested in aviation, engines, mechanics or how things work.
- Enjoy hands-on work and using tools.
- Keen to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople.
- Reliable, punctual and willing to put in effort each day.
- Positive attitude and able to work well with others in a team.
- Good communication skills and willing to ask questions when unsure.
- Careful with detail and able to follow instructions properly.
- Comfortable using basic hand tools, or willing to learn.
- Interested in learning how to use measuring tools such as verniers, micrometres and depth gauges.
- Able to work in a busy workshop where safety, quality and deadlines are important.
- Willing to take responsibility for your work and learn from mistakes.
- Strong basic maths skills, including measurements, decimals, fractions and problem solving.
- Good understanding of basic physics such as force, movement, pressure, temperature and how mechanical systems work.
- Strong focus on safety and doing the job the right way.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Completed Year 12 or working towards completion.
- An interest in mechanical work, aviation or engineering.
- Pre-apprenticeship studies or workshop experience would be helpful.
- Any experience using tools, working on cars, bikes, machinery or similar would be looked upon favourably.
- Willingness to complete a Certificate IV in Aeroskills as part of the apprenticeship.
- Looking to build a long-term career in aircraft maintenance.
