The planner facilitates and provides support to the PT6 Program Maintenance work package creation and management. The planner provides process guidance to the PT6 program to support engine Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul & Upgrade capability. Including planning and scheduling support to the Operations Manager as well as supporting and coordinating external engineering support for repair, balance, and test cell. 

 

Job Description

Role Overview & Key Responsibilities 

  • To optimize program productivity through efficient maintenance work instructions. 
  • To identify areas for continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness to reduce the cost base across maintenance operations. 
  • Develop and maintain user-friendly module maintenance work instructions utilizing industry best practices, mistake proofing, lessons learned and feedback from the floor.
  • Support the program manager and provide oversight of forecasting, product planning, coordination and scheduling of program activities. 
  • Support directly and coordinate external engineering support for repair, balance and test cell. 
  • Work with the Ops Manager to maintain configuration control and reporting of engine data to ensure engine or module records are complet and accurate. 
  • Support the Ops Manager in monitoring time at task (TAT) performance. 
  • Identify and eliminate the root causes of process failures or escapes from maintenance processes. 
  • Participate in or lead teams reviewing, investigating and reporting on maintenance quality escapes. 
  • Maintain productive customer relationships and create solutions that bring value to our customers and to TAE.
  • Keep up to date of industry and professional knowledge, keep current and well-maintained professional development. 

 

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in Aerospace / propulsion or mechanical / maintenance MRO operations environment. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to Environmental, Health and Safety regulations, policies, procedures and best practices. 
  • Ability to lead, communicate and work within teams of multi-skilled personnel. 
  • Experience applying strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead or facilitate teams to achieve successful results. 
  • Process or manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Visio.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate views and influence others.
  • Ability to build strong day to day relationships with co-workers, managers, and customers. 
  • Commitment to being part of a team-oriented organization seeking continuous improvement. 
  • Ability to manage varied workload, balancing scheduled tasks with requests of assistance from the team, which may have short deadlines.
