Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Subcontract Coordination & Administration
Coordinate subcontractor engagement activities in line with procurement and project requirements.
Support the preparation, issue, and administration of subcontract agreements, purchase orders, scopes of work, and related documentation.
Monitor subcontractor performance against agreed deliverables, timelines, and contractual obligations.
Maintain accurate subcontract and supplier records, documentation, and reporting.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Act as a central point of contact for subcontract-related matters within the business.
Liaise with Engineering, Quality, Production, Project Management, and Operations teams to ensure alignment of subcontracted works with business requirements.
Assist with Supplier onboarding
Provide support with the estimating process
Quality & Compliance
Ensure subcontracted works comply with company quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
Coordinate the collection and review of required compliance documentation, certifications, and quality records from subcontractors.
Support supplier audits, inspections, and corrective action activities where required.
Ensure subcontractors operate in accordance with relevant safety, regulatory, and company compliance requirements.
Assess, manage Risk report and action as required
Procurement & Commercial Support
Assist with sourcing and evaluation of subcontract suppliers in conjunction with Procurement.
Support cost control initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvement and supplier performance enhancement.
Monitor subcontract variations, delivery risks, and potential commercial impacts.
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of subcontract management processes, systems, and controls.
Support the development of standard operating procedures and best practice procurement activities.

Desired Skills and Experience
Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Experience in subcontract coordination, procurement, supply chain, contracts administration, or a similar role within manufacturing, engineering, defence, or industrial environments.
Understanding of subcontract management principles and supplier coordination.
Strong administrative and organisational skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to interpret contracts, technical documentation, and quality requirements.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Relevant qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
Experience working within quality-controlled or regulated environments highly regarded.
Ability to interpret technical drawings/ CAD
Precision Machining experience
